We are a Breastfeeding support program for African American women that reside in one of the following areas in Buffalo: 14208, 14209, 14211, 14213, 14215
Here women can feel comfortable discussing their concerns and questions. Also have myths debunked and receive evidenced based information. Our goal is to educate families to have a better understanding of breastfeeding, the importance, and its benefits.
The program includes all of the following services and gifts to all enrollees.
● A Hakah
● Breastmilk Storage bags
● Milk Savers
● A journal with a pen
● Fuzzy socks
● Carseat Canopy/Nursing Cover
● Storage Bin
Additionally, each enrollee will have ongoing support throughout the first 12 months of breastfeeding, in the form of a breastfeeding peer counselor, who will be available to them whenever they would like support.

To qualify women must be currently pregnant and planning to breastfeed, currently postpartum and breastfeeding, must identify as African American, and must live within the Ferry Corridor zip codes of 14208, 14209, 14211, 14213, 14215.
