About us
WNY Postpartum Connection exists to improve access to perinatal mental health care for all women and families in our community.
Who We Are
WNY Postpartum Connection is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides a free directory of local mental health and support services for those who are pregnant or postpartum, or facing issues such as loss and fertility challenges. WNYPPC is also a place for providers and community businesses to connect with one another. We provide education to groups in our community and promote access to care. We collaborate with providers and community agencies as partners in our goal to improve access to perinatal mental health care for all families in our community.
Our Purpose
To connect families with the services they need for a healthy start. To serve as a guide to some of the specialized perinatal mental health services in our area. To connect professionals who share a commitment to helping families in our community. To support the larger community through advocacy, education, and increased access to care for all.
what we believe
We believe that postpartum mental health concerns are very common and very treatable and no parent should suffer in silence simply because of a lack of resources. We are committed to helping families access the care they need, without fear of discrimination. We stand in solidarity locally and nationally with those who are calling for change, and the individuals, families, and communities that have been impacted by trauma and discrimination. We advocate for equity, inclusion, and access to care for all members of our community and work to remove barriers to mental health services.
Anti-Racism Statement
WNY Postpartum Connection, Inc. condemns racism and hate in all forms. We stand in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, People of Color locally and nationally who are calling for change. We stand with the individuals, families, and communities that have been impacted by the trauma of racially motivated murders, violence, and discrimination. Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, WNY Postpartum Connection, Inc. is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our network of committed providers and community outreach efforts.
Meet the team
WNY Postpartum Connection was founded and is run by Jennifer Urban LCSW-R, PMH-C; Julie Rosinski LCSW-R, PMH-C; and Lori Badach LCSW-R, PMH-C.
As three local social workers in private practice, we are independent in our work but joined in our commitment to support growing families in WNY. We are grateful for all of the many providers in our community who make up the WNY Postpartum Connection.
