New Class! High energy group fitness class for parents and their little one. Enjoy a 45-minute full body workout as your little one is wrapped up with love. Hikyoga at Alchemy & Anna Mae Bird Sanctuary with Molly McDermott
A combination of yoga and hiking. We start with meditation and warm up at Alchemy and then head to the bird sanctuary. There, we will hike and partake in yoga poses in the woods and by the creek. Afterwards, we will head back to Alchemy for a drink or mocktail. Optional brunch is also available! Mommy and Me Fitness Class
Join us for a new group fitness class for new moms and their little one! We will discuss how to safely return to exercise and go through a gentle exercise routine appropriate for postpartum bodies. We will focus on restoring muscles, increasing flexibility and cardiovascular health, and improving endurance.
This class will provide you with a good foundation to begin exercising again, and for those of you that already did our spring special introductory classes, we will show you how to take the basics you learned and kick them up a notch! During this blended level class, we will provide options to vary the challenges for ALL levels of ability! Treat yourself to a fun class to move your body, meet other new moms, and have some special bonding time with your baby.

This virtual group consists of five 75 minute sessions identifying symptoms, learning coping skills and connecting with others who understand the impact of birth trauma. Becoming: A Virtual Art Therapy Group for Pregnancy Support
Announcing: “Becoming: A Virtual Art Therapy Group for Pregnancy Support”
This is a space for gestational birthing persons to explore this intense bio-psycho-social-spiritual transition through a safe, trauma-informed, creative lens. We will be using an open studio process model that is gently structured and allows participants to be both seen and heard through both verbal and creative processing. It requires absolutely no artistic experience other than the availability of basic art supplies and a willingness to try something new. It can be a stand-alone treatment or complement existing individual psychotherapy work.
Group goals include:
-Creating a sense of community and reducing isolation among birthing people
-Allowing a safe space to destigmatize “messy” or ambivalent feelings about becoming a parent
-Exploring identity development and new social roles
-Developing a mindful practice for distress tolerance and self expression
-Cultivating innate creative resilience skills including role flexibility, creative problem solving, self compassion, and positive reframing
Brass Tacks:
-Open to anyone in NJ/NY
-Minimum commitment of 4 weekly 1 hr groups to create a sense of continuity for participants
-$200/total to be paid by 1/19 via a secure digital platform after a brief phone screening and completion of basic clinical documentation

Creative Support for Caregivers is a virtual art therapy group using an open studio process for anyone in NJ/NY who identifies as a caregiver and is interested in developing a restorative creative practice for stress management. About Me: I am a trauma-informed, attachment-based, relational clinician with a virtual practice called Co-Create Art Therapy and Reproductive Mental Health serving New Jersey and New York.
