ROSE: Training for NYS Providers in a Program That Prevents Perinatal Depression

Hosted by Project TEACH:

Reach Out Stay Strong Essentials (ROSE) is an evidence-based, 5-session program that helps prevent perinatal depression in pregnant individuals at risk. Based on interpersonal psychotherapy, ROSE has been shown to significantly reduce the likelihood of developing perinatal depression. ROSE can be delivered in person or via telehealth, in groups or one-on-one. Participants will also have access to ongoing group consultation and Project TEACH's warmline for implementation support. Who should attend? This training is for New York State providers who work with perinatal individuals, including mental health professionals, nurses, doulas, health educators, community health workers and other maternal care providers. Learning Objectives: Providers will recognize the key content of all 5 ROSE sessions. Providers will apply engagement techniques, teaching techniques and clinical skills to deliver the ROSE program. Providers will plan how to implement ROSE with the perinatal population they serve.
