Southtowns Postpartum Wellness 

The Southtowns Postpartum Wellness group is an opportunity to meet with other postpartum or pregnant moms navigating the challenges of motherhood and beyond.  This is a FREE monthly support group open to any mothers looking to connect, get information, get support.

Postpartum Depression PPD Support Group - Mom’s T.E.A.R.S. (Treatment, Education, Advocacy, Resources,Support.)

FREE Group meetings on the Sisters Hospital Campus - M Steven Piver Center for Women's Health, 2121 Main Street Suite 100, Buffalo, NY 14214.  Come and meet other new mothers, discuss the difficulties of adjusting to motherhood, and problem solve together.  New babies welcome!  New format:  a series of 6 sessions on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 6pm.  Days are subject to change. Open Circle - Mother to Mother Postpartum Support

Held the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm. 

Postpartum support for new mothers and pregnant mothers. Come together with other moms to build each other up and be supported.  Toddlers welcome.

Mom’s Morning Out, held 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9:30am.  Bring your baby and join in on discussion, ask questions, meet some new moms just like you! Light refreshments will be served! Facilitated by a lactation consultant

Know the signs and symptoms for yourself and your partner.  Ask questions and get support in a safe space.  Know that you are not alone.  Meets the 2nd and 4th Monday each month, 6pm-8pm at the Birthing Center of Buffalo. Facilitated by Birthing Center Staff

Footprints on the Heart - for any parents who have experienced the loss of a baby.  Meeets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm

Hopeful Hearts - for parents who are pregnant again after the loss of a baby.  Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6pm.  Both of these groups are held at M. Mamas Rising:  A Motherhood Support Group.  

Nicole Brown, LCSW leads Mamas Rising for mothers of new babies to come together in a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental environment where we will discuss our challenges, celebrate our successes, and learn new skills to more effectively cope with life as a mom and all that it entails! Mindful Mamas:  Sacred Postpartum Support

Come together in sacred circle to be with other new mothers, share your stories, get support and discuss various topics related to the transition to motherhood. This circle offers mothers compassionate community in a loving and nurturing environment and includes meditation and other self care techniques to weather the storms of this massive life adjustment. Additional topics may include baby wearing and its benefits, healthy sleep habits for mom and baby, self care for mothers, infant massage, holistic health at home, and creative ideas for sensory play with your baby. Women and their little ones welcome as soon as they feel comfortable venturing out.  Facilitated by a yoga instructors/Doulas

Mindful Mamas

Come as you are and leave feeling renewed.
Mindfulness: within a meditation based focus you will work towards bringing your attention to the present moment while engaging in non-judgmental, strength based and affirming thoughts.
Mindfulness will help you to release any negative associations that you have with motherhood and any judgments that you have either placed on yourself or negative labels you have retained from others.
• Meditations will be facilitated and guided by a licensed mental health counselor. Resources for application in your day-to-day life will be provided.
• This is an open group.
